THE FRAGILE MIRROR

Cracks as old as lost generations,

Lost all lustre in ailing bonds

Carrying somber tones of reflected age

Imprisoned in cores of flimsy cage

 

Mute witness of smiles and tears,

Kept emotions dried and safely pressed,

Without the disclosure of real distress

Flowing in course of life’s pacing gear,

 

There it is standing in gloomy trance,

Flickering scenes of epoch dance,

Showing only what shield outside,

Concealing truth, yes! Mirrors do lie…………
